What are the benefits of the Deal Registration Program for Competitive Replacement and New Customers?
Check Point resellers receive an additional 20-percent points discount to their default discount with approved registered deals for Competitive Replacement and New Customers.
Who is eligible to participate in the Deal Registration program for Competitive Replacement and New Customers?
This Program is offered to Check Point’s certified resellers. If you are not sure if you are a Check Point certified reseller, please contact Partner Alliance dealreg@checkpoint.com.
How long will this program be available?
This program is available from February 7th, 2013 until June 30th, 2013.
How can I register my deal to this program?
In order to register your deal, please go to www.checkpoint.com/dealreg. You will be asked to log in with PartnerMAP credentials in order to register your deal. If you do not have PartnerMAP access, please contact Partner Alliance dealreg@checkpoint.com.
What information do I need to provide when submitting my deal registration request?
You will be asked to provide basic information about your customer (name and contact information) and the deal information (estimated value and product information).
What is the difference between Competitive Replacement and New Customers?
Competitive Replacement is when a customer is replacing a competitor’s product with a Check Point product (subject to the customer signing a letter of decommission). New Customer is a customer that has not purchased any Check Point products in the last 3 years.
How will my deal registration request be approved?
Upon submission of your deal registration you will receive a confirmation email with your unique Deal Registration ID. Your deal information will be verified by Check Point’s representatives and you will be notified again once your deal is approved.
When will my deal registration request be approved?
Internal review by Check Point’s representatives will be completed within 5 business days and you will be notified with the outcome.
How can I see the status of the deals I registered?
Following the first deal registration submission you will be able to view a summary and status of all the deals you and your colleagues registered on www.checkpoint.com/dealreg.
Once my registered deal is approved how do I apply for the additional program discount?
Once you receive confirmation that your registered deal has been approved you can place an order immediately. In order to get the discount you need to include your deal registration ID and generic NSP# 20000799 on the distributor’s PO to Check Point. In addition, Declaration of Decommission should be included for Competitive Replacement deals.
What should I do with the unique Deal Registration ID I received when my deal is approved?
You should keep your unique Deal Registration ID and include it on your distributor’s PO to Check Point along with the generic NSP # 20000799 and Declaration of Decommission for Competitive Replacement deals.
How long will my registered deal be secured once approved?
Your deal registration will be secured for 90 days from the time of approval by Check Point.
Can I extend my deal registration expiration date?
An email reminder will be sent to you 30 days prior to your deal registration expiration. You will be able to submit an extension request of an additional 30 days (maximum 120 days in total) through your local Check Point representative. If no extension is requested and approved by the 90-day expiration date, your deal will be automatically rejected. You will then need to submit a new deal registration request and it will go through the same approval cycle with Check Point.
Which Check Point products are eligible for an additional discount in this program?
The Check Point products eligible for an additional discount are listed in a specific Competitive Replacement matrix on the PartnerMAP Promotions page.
Which competitor products are eligible to be replaced in this program?
The competitor products eligible to be replaced are listed in a specific Competitive Replacement matrix on the PartnerMAP Promotions page.
What if the new Check Point product I want to buy does not appear on the Competitive Replacement matrix?
Any Check Point products which do not appear in this matrix should receive approval from Partner Alliance dealreg@checkpoint.com prior to registering the deal.
What if the competitor product I want to replace does not appear on the Competitive Replacement matrix?
Any competitor products which do not appear in this matrix should receive approval from Partner Alliance dealreg@checkpoint.com prior to registering the deal.
Does my customer need to return his competitor product to Check Point in order to apply for additional discount in this program?
Your customer does not need to physically return the competitive product to Check Point. They do, however, need to sign a Declaration of Decommission found on the PartnerMAP Promotions page. This declaration must be attached to the PO submitted to Check Point.
Does the additional program discount apply to support for my new products?
No, the additional discount only applies to Check Point products of categories: I (Software Solutions), II (High-End Appliances), III (Appliances and Accelerator Cards) and V (Endpoint). Category S (Support and Services) is not eligible for additional discounts.
What information should be included in the PO to Check Point in order to guarantee I receive the program discount?
The distributor’s PO to Check Point must include the approved Deal Registration ID (from the email confirmation), generic NSP # 20000799 and Declaration of Decommission for Competitive Replacement deals.
What if my deal registration was approved but the customer chose to work with another reseller?
Check Point will not compensate resellers for an approved deal registration which eventually closed with another reseller.
Can Check Point distributors participate in this program?
This program is only available for Check Point certified resellers. Distributors are not able to submit deal registration requests to Check Point.
