R71.30 cannot be installed on these dedicated gateways:
  • Open Server - DLP, IPS-1 Sensor, VSX
  • Appliances - DLP-1, IPS-1 Sensor, VSX-1, Security Gateway 80


Supported Upgrade Paths
R71.30 can be installed on top of R71, R71.10, or R71.20 Security Gateways, Security Management
servers, and Provider-1 MDSs.
To upgrade from NGX R65 or R70 to R71.30, you must first upgrade to version R71.10. For upgrade
instructions, refer to the R71.10 Release Notes
(R71.10 Release Note).

Notes
  • Upgrading from R70.40 to R71 or higher is NOT supported. To upgrade from R70.40
    to R71 or higher you must uninstall R70.40.
  • To upgrade Check Point Suite Products before version NGX R65 to R71.30, you must
    first upgrade your system to NGX R65.
