Check Point Software blades sizing information

Thank you for choosing the Check Point Software Blades architecture.
This architecture lets you easily add more security functions to your check Point Security Solutions.
When choosing the blade you need there are up to 3 main factors you need to consider:

  1. Blade Functionality: What security function do you need? e.g. IPS, Application Control, Anti bot etc. 
  2. High Availability: There are different blades for High Availability gateways, make sure you get the High Availability blade if needed
    High Availability blades are marked with “–HA“ in the SKU name. e.g.: CPSB-IPS-M-1Y-HA
  3. Gateway Size: In some cases, there are different blades for different gateway sizes. make sure you get the correct blade size
    Blade size is marked with “–M–“ or “–L–  e.g.: CPSB-IPS-M-1Y-HA. You can refer to the table below to find the correct blade size for your gateway

Examples of selecting the right blade:

  1. IPS for 12400 appliance requires the "High-End" (L) IPS blade =  CPSB-IPS-L-1Y
  2. Anti Bot 4800 High Availability appliance requires the "Mid” (M) Anti Bot blade = CPSB-ABOT-M-1Y-HA
  3.  Application Control for the 1600 Series " Ultra High End” (XL)  Application Control blade = CPSB-NGDP-XL-1Y
