Based on the Check Point unified security architecture, SmartCenter solutions
enable enterprises to centrally define network, data, and endpoint security
policies; correlate and prioritize security events; and perform advanced
monitoring and reporting — all via a single console. Distribution of security
policy and threat defense updates across all gateways becomes easy, ensuring
consistent policy enforcement and up-to-date protection against the latest threats.
As a result, enterprises are able to protect business-critical assets as well as
maximize their security investments. SmartCenter is made up of the SmartCenter
Security Management Server, and The SmartCenter GUI Console,
The SmartCenter Security Management Server stores and distributes the security
policy defined using SmartConsole. It also stores common Check Point databases,
including network object definitions, user definitions and log files for any number
of enforcement points.
