SmartCenter
A Security Gateway is deployed on an Internet gateway and other network-access
points. Security Policies are defined using SmartConsole, and saved to a Security
Management Server. An Inspection Script is generated from Policies. Inspection
Code is compiled from the Inspection Script, and is installed on the Security
Gateway, which protects the network.
Deployment is flexible as well — the security software can be deployed as
software only on an open server, or is available on a Check Point appliance
out-of-the-box.
